Behavioral Counseling

Behavioral Counseling

At The Honolulu Pet Clinic, we can provide you with behavioral counseling for your pet. We offer advice for correcting the behaviors you wish to alter in your pet. Some of the behaviors we address include barking, chewing, spraying, scratching, house soiling, digging, and aggression. We understand that for pet owners, training is a major feat and with a little help, you can see a remarkable turnaround in your pet’s behavior. We give you the advice and resources you need to help your pet in any situation. Although changing behaviors takes time, it is also possible to make great strides in a short period of time. Some of the topics we address include:
• House training
• Whether or not to use crates
• Socializing your pet
• Puppy mouthing
• Biting
• Many more behaviors

Permanent Identification

The Honolulu Pet Clinic offers microchip implant identification services which allow you to find your pet. If you or your pet become separated, we can help you to easily find and identify your pet so they can be returned to you. If a natural disaster occurs in your area, there are safety shelters in Oahu that won’t accept pets who are not micro-chipped. This is why it is of utmost importance to have a microchip placed in your pet as soon as possible.

We strive to place the health and comfort of your pet as our primary focus. That is why we make sure the process of placing each microchip is as easy as possible. We will make sure your pet is calm and relaxes while receiving complete care and attention throughout the process. Getting a microchip is the same as having a vaccination and doesn’t require any type of anesthetic.

Our staff will see to it that your pet has everything necessary to provide relief and comfort throughout the entire process. Pet microchips provide permanent identification for your pet should they become separated from you. We will be happy to answer any questions you may have about the microchip process.
